Tips & Tricks

Flawless Singing - 25G
Score a 100% rating as a vocalist on Expert

Load up "So Watcha Want" by The Beastie Boys and just talk your way through the song. You don't even have to get the lyrics right, just make sure you keep making noise as words show up on screen. At the end you will have 100%.

Flawless Groove - 25G
Score 100% notes hit as bassist, up-strums only, on Expert

Use the same song as you just did on the singing one. There will be nothing but green notes, and there are so few that it seems like you're playing on easy. Don't forget to up-strum though.

Flawless Fretwork - 25G
Score 100% notes hit as a guitarist on Expert

If you haven't already, download the free DLC song "Charlene." It's pretty easy even on expert, and if you fail a few times, no big deal as the song is only ~90 seconds long and not very bothersome to repeat.

Flawless Drumming - 25G
Score 100% notes hit as a drummer on Expert

Use "Charlene" again. Easy and short.

Solid Gold, Baby! - 25G
Gold Star a song

Gold Star = 140% or better the score you would get by simply 100%-ing a song. So basically, you have to 100% and use all the Overdrives you get. You should get this achievement automatically while doing the other "Flawless" ones, as long as you're using your overdrive.

Flawless Guitar Solo - 20G
100% a guitar solo on Expert, using only the solo buttons

This requires the official Rock Band guitar, so you can't use your GH3 Les Paul like I normally do. The easiest song to get this on is probably "Give It Away" by RHCP. Just use the solo buttons once you see a blue solo section come up, and don't strum at all. The first solo is very easy, and as long as you 100% it, it doesn't matter how well you do on the rest of the song.
